Updating California Water Policy for Climate Change – West Coast Water Justice on Spotify

Currently, California is on track to lose most if not all native fish species within this century if we don’t adapt to climate change. West Coast Water Justice talks with Clifford Lee;  retired deputy attorney general with the California Department of Justice who served the state for 40 years.  Clifford shares his expertise and recommendations for updating California’s water policy to mitigate the effects of climate change. He explains some of the policies that got us here and the nuts and bolts of the agencies that regulate and move water throughout the state. Listen here if you have Spotify.

This symposium, sponsored by Restore the Delta, will be led by panelists under 30. This event will cover various Environmental Justice related topics, such as climate change mitigation as opportunity, Harmful Algal Blooms, EJ communities, public access, cultural and historical resources, and water quality and how they fit in Delta planning. It is vital that we build a base on current issues at home and make sure that the next generation is involved in planning.

Meet the next generation of Delta leaders, and learn about their concerns for the Delta.

The two-day virtual event will take place on October 13th and 14th from 4pm to 8pm. Delta leaders over 30 are welcome to attend as observers, but participation is reserved for the next generation of Delta leaders. You can sign up at this link. We hope to see you there!
