On Monday August 13th, Representative Eric Swalwell (CA-15 Dublin) sent a letter of support for the Delta Conveyance Finance Authority’s Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) loan application to Andrew Wheeler, the acting administrator of the US Environmental Protection Administration.
Today, his staff sent the following message to Restore the Delta:
“Thank you for alerting us to the letter of support regarding the California Waterfix. It was sent in error by a staff member, not authorized by Rep. Swalwell. He sent the attached letter today retracting it.”
This small victory is a testament of what we can achieve when we work together for a common goal.
