Friends of the Bay-Delta,
We need your attendance for a rare legislative opportunity to voice your opposition to Governor Jerry Brown's Delta Tunnels project. The California Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee will be holding an important meeting to hear your thoughts on Tuesday, February 28th.
Our goal is to fill the seats and the halls with the voices of people and friends of the San Francisco Bay-Delta estuary. Restore the Delta is giving you an advance notice so that you can make arrangements for work. We need as many people as possible to make a powerful statement with our Californian legislators. This may be one of our last public opportunities at the Capitol to oppose the project.

I want to go on notice as saying I am totally against Brown doing anything more that is detrimental to this state.
From defying he federal government on sanctuary cities to raising taxes on gas to dividing us from the rest of the country.
Water is crucial to the central valley and his tunnels are a slap in the face to the farmers and citizens of this dying state.
I hope to be there with some others from my community.
I’ll be there.
I am planning to attend (nd comment),
I will be attending.
I’ll be there!
I will attend the meeting.
I would like to go!
I’ll try to make it and see if I can get others to go.
I will join you on Feb 28 in Sacto….
The cost for this project is outrageous, it will destroy the delta and the communities that surround it. The quality of life for us will be forever affected by the incursion of salt water or possibly no water at all to our Bay and dock.
I’ve been water skiing and fishing on the Delta for over 40 years and 8 years ago my wife and moved to Discovery Bay when we retired. We love to look out our window onto our bay and enjoy the wildlife there and the serenity it gives us. I would hate to have a mud puddle for a bay in my backyard and no way of accessing the Delta. As there will be less water here because the “overpriced tunnels” that will destroy the natural habit that exist here.

An, now, the Oroville dam situation.
We’ve been in a drought for years. Governor Brown failed to make safety #1 with our water collection sites. But, remedy is available. Forget the tunnels! Take care of our existing dams & reservoirs. Preventative actions needed NOW. Waiting for governor Brown to do the RIGHT thing for California ? thankyou for your efforts.
