Action Alert: Delta Tunnels Hearing in SF & next Wednesday in Livermore!

Dear friends, 

Join us at two upcoming meetings on the Delta Tunnels (CA WaterFix) in the Bay Area this Friday and in the Tri-Valley next Wednesday.

This Friday, 3/11, in San Francisco:  

What: Hearing to examine impacts of the proposed tunnels on the San Francisco Bay 

Hosted by: State Senator Lois Wolk, State Senator Mark Leno, Supervisor Scott Wiener (San Francisco) 

Title of hearing: Pending Delta Decisions and Their Potential Economic and Other Impacts on San Francisco and the Bay Area

Date and time: Friday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m. 

 
Location: Milton Marks Auditorium of the Milton Marks Building, 455 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco 

 

Next Wednesday, 3/16, in Livermore:

The Zone 7 Water Agency is scheduled to vote to support the Delta tunnels project at a public meeting on March 16, 2016.  The vote centers around continued financial support. They need to hear from area residents like you on your opposition to the Delta tunnels. More details here

What: Zone 7 Water Agency Board Meeting, Citizens Forum (will occur at the beginning of the meeting)

Date and time: Wednesday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. 

Location: 100 N. Canyons Parkway, Livermore

    Ben Johnson Comments: No tunnels Northern CA folks lose, brackish water farther up the delta, Eco problems, farming problems, management and control issues between North and South governments, fish issues , ranching issues levee issues water control

    No water for Fracking!
    Yes we were paying attention when they sais the qater wasn’t necessarily for farmers.
    Regardless no tunnels.
    We.need.the water were it belongs !

    No tunnels! Your ruining the delta and bay. Someone will be getting rich let’s face it it’s all about money your opinion or vote doesn’t count in today’s corrupt city and state governments seems this the new order of business . Fight it.
