We tried to get a meeting schedule for the California Water Commission by clicking on the link provided at the CWC website. Back came this response: “Your message wasn’t delivered because of security policies. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator.” Lots of programming text followed.
We thought that was kind of cumbersome, so we repeated our request using “Comments or Suggestions” at the bottom of the CWC webpage. That was two days ago.
Hello, CWC staff. If you don’t have a schedule yet, just let us know. And you might want to do something about that message that makes a simple request for information sound like a security threat.
What in heavens makes you ordinary people think you should be allowed to attend a meeting of the regal California Water Commission? That group is strictly FOGAS — Friends of Arnold Schwarzenegger. I’ll bet that even Paul Rodriguez can’t get in the room.
Seriously, someday it will go down in the history books that the inclusion in the Bondoogle $11.14 billion water bond of the dormant CWC as the “decider” on spending $3 billion for storage was one of the most offensive parts of the whole allegedly “historic” water legislation package. And that is primarily because it effectively allowed GAS to appoint 9 of his dam loving buddies to the CWC just before leaving office as one of the most unpopular Guvs in state history. And as a nice cherry on the parfait, the CWC gets to name new facilities in the State Water Project. Which will it be —- Arnold’s Evaporation Pond or Arnold’s Economic Temperance Disaster?
