What can be done?
Restore the Delta, a grassroots network of organizations and citizens, believes that the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, as it exists post-reclamation, can be preserved, protected, and enhanced ecologically. Through a reduction in water exports, improved water quality, levee maintenance, and a comprehensive flood-management plan, the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta can sustain a thriving environment that is the basis for a prosperous Delta economy.
Restore the Delta has begun a campaign to educate Californians, as to why the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta is worthy of restoration and protection. Restore the Delta also works to organize and empower Delta stakeholders to advocate on their own behalf in regard to water management decisions that will affect Delta communities, commerce, culture, and the ecosystem.
